HELPING OTHERS

Squadron 173 SAL members remain dedicated to supporting Veterans, their families, and the community.

​Members support the Legion by parking cars at the NMLRA Shoot, maintaining the Legion Post and Park, delivering the Legion Christmas Basket, operating the Bingo Hall, and performing other supporting tasks.

​

​Throughout the year, the SAL Squadron holds raffles at the Post to support charitable efforts.

​

​In 2025, we continued to support the Legion and our community through numerous charitable contributions. We awarded three scholarships to local students. We also donated to both the South Ripley Athletic Department and the South Ripley Music Department, and supported Special Olympics events.

​

The SAL continues to donate U.S. flags to area cemeteries, providing flags to 10 cemeteries in 2025 for Memorial Day observance. Over 17 years, SAL has donated more than 225 flags.
